Governance within NSK Martial Arts Centre refers to the framework of rules, processes, and behaviours by which the organisation is directed and controlled. This includes the establishment of clear roles and responsibilities, consistent decision making protocols, financial accountability, data protection compliance, and the assurance of fair and inclusive practice across all programmes.
The purpose of our governance framework is to:
Ensure lawful and ethical operation in accordance with company law, data protection legislation, child protection and safeguarding regulations, health and safety requirements, and relevant martial arts governing body guidance.
Provide clear leadership, oversight, and strategic direction for the delivery and development of our programmes.
Promote transparency and integrity in financial management, record keeping, and reporting.
Establish consistent procedures for handling grievances, complaints, disciplinary actions, and appeals.
Protect the welfare, rights, and interests of students, staff, volunteers, and associated stakeholders.
All directors, instructors, and team members are expected to comply with the organisation’s governance policies, participate in relevant training, and uphold the values and principles set out in our Code of Conduct.
The governance structure of NSK Martial Arts Centre is reviewed regularly to ensure it remains fit for purpose, proportionate to the size and nature of the organisation, and capable of responding to changes in legislation, operational needs, or sector wide expectations.
